  • TODAY – MATHCOUNTS for 8th graders and last year team members in room 219 (Mrs. Bornemeier’s room).  Practice will go from right after school until 4:00pm.  If you are a 6th or 7th grader, your first practice is Monday, October 22– same time, same place.

 

  • Do you remember the mutant toys created by Sid in the Toy Story movie? Come to the Frankentoys Laboratory on either Oct. 23 or Oct. 25 and create your own mutant toy to take home.  Attendance is limited to 20 students each day, so sign up in the Lux Library ASAP. There is no cost for this activity.

 

  • Tai Chi TOMORROW after school in the Fitness Room.

 

  • WAY TO GO

 

Amnie B. – Amnie demonstrates for others what it means to be a responsible student. She seeks understanding and is an active part of every class.

Carter T. – Carter comes prepared to class every single day. He knows when it’s time to get busy and yet enjoys a good laugh. This guy is a rock star student!

Tina P. – Tina puts forth tremendous effort on every aspect of homework. She is thorough and thoughtful as she responds. Her quiet demeanor is much appreciated as well.

Keagan M. – You won’t find many guys more dependable than Keagan. He models excellence in his conduct and academics. His big grin also keeps reminding us that life is a joy ride!

Zahmya D. – Zahmya is a fantastic member of team 8B! She is always kind to other students as well as her teachers. Zahmya is responsible about completing her assignments each day and is always prepared for class. Keep it up, Zahmya! Your teachers appreciate you!!

Mary J. – Mary has had such a positive attitude and contagious smile this year. Mary can be seen helping around the Lux building in many ways – and does so with enthusiasm. Great job, Mary!
